2001 S Class (W220)
Hi,

I have a 2001 S Class (W220) that I bought for relatively cheap. It might be going to the scrap at the end of the year and I since I loved the front seats so much I was wondering if it would be possible to remove them and put them into a totally different car? The seats don’t have memory but are heated/ventilated. Would that be possible with some adapters for the electrics or not really?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum.

Everything can fit anywhere. The seats even in your garden shed with the relevant wiring/control modules and bolts to hold them down.

Thanks, that’s good news - any clue or advice for what sorts of things/parts/adapters I’d need to correctly fit them?

You are probably going to have to fabricate brackets to actually mount the seats and be clear where you are drilling the floor plan on the next car if this has to be done. Wiring diagrams for the S class and the new car will help you identify what wire does what and you will need all the switches relays fuses etc if you want to keep the functioning of the seats. Personally I doubt it's worth it and you will have the hoary old problem of notifying your Insurer who might not want to insure you with that mod.
