Hi I have just replaced the front side light bulbs (501 bulbs) and now the dash board "bulb out" warning light stays on. I have checked all the bulbs and all appear to be OK. Is there somrthing I need to do to re set the warning light?

Hello,

Have you checked the rear lights and brake lights as well?

As far as I know, there is nothing to reset.

Have you tried putting the original bulbs back in? It might not like the new bulbs, especially if you're trying to fit led ones or some of the blue bulbs as they don't always get to 5 watts which the car perceives as a blown bulb.

Often as the cars age a wire can break in the hinge area, and that is more common than a faulty switch

I have had this problem before. It turned out to be a lamp (bulbs grow in the garden) where the cement holding the glass had come away from the metal holder and was causing intermitant failure. Took a while to find the right one but take every lamp out and check that the glass bit is securely held into the metal mount.
