From rest and when in motion there is a small delay (approx. 2 secs. max.) between pressing the pedal and a response happening. The same sort of feeling you would get if insufficient revs applied on a manual car. Not a big problem and is most noticible when wanting to quickly slip out at a roundabout.
The dealer says "not excessive and they are all like it". I have used automatics for many years. I thought that this function may be adjustable. Any help appreciated.

I just rang my friend with the same car and he says that his throtle is instant

This could be very dangerous in some situations.

Thank you for the quick reply Malcolm. When my wife and one of my sons drive the car they do not notice the delay, Although I am sure the son (nutter in car) will notice eventually! When setting off you have to sort of 'feed' the power as if to prevent a stall. Because the car is relatively powerfull to most people I think they are wary of pressing the pedal too hard. Like everything on this car I presume it would be an electrical fault.
Thank you for taking the trouble to contact your friend.
