s.l.320 carpets and roof

hi everyone. bought a silver s.l.320 2001 3 months ago. brilliant car but i have 2 problems.mercedes dealer can not supply new light grey carpets they say no longer manufactured? secondly have the same problem as pipemaster..panoramic hard top has 2 corrosion points at the bottom either side of rear window. when i complained to mercedes dealer they said roof wasnt covered by warranty as it was considered to be an accessory.....p.s.the car has only covered 16,000miles

How can a hardtop that is supplied with the car be an accessory. Whoever told you that is an idiot.

I have to agree with sweetie pie that this is rubbish and is covered, many people have had it done under the guarantee

I forgot, do you only want new loose mats as these are always on Ebay and genuine MB too

THAT is as logical as saying that the seats & steering wheel are accessories..!!!

Go back to the dealer - guns blazing..!!!

When I had mine with black mats, I could only find grey ones, they will be back.

If you got some black ones you could leave them in the sun and they will fade to a grey

hi everyone.just thought i would give an update about my panoramic roof that i originally posted last september. after months of letter writing and arguing over the telephone working my way through the grevance proceedure.M.b.have finally agreed to honour their warranty and repair the 2 corrosion points free of charge.i found this forum an inspiration in my fight against M.b. keep up the good work
