S211 220cdi.facelift.. the car is not losing air it stands for a few days no change in height.

The nearside rear sits just over 1 inch lower than the offside which looks to be the correct level.

When driven over a raised area such as a pelican crossing .it goes up to go over ok. but when it gets to the other side and the rear of the car drops onto level ground it is very noticeable that the nearside bounces considerably lower than the off side.also very soft......when it first happened I thought I had a puncture.

Any ideas would be appreciated

Thanks in anticipation

Possibly a level sensor on the front that’s broken and then giving wrong readings, but if a guess but would make sense. Either that or the shock absorber has failed, it does happen occasionally

Nope, there a little weird in that sense, there is one at the front and rear, have a look at the opposite diagonal corner to the side that’s dropping and you will likely find it broken there. They do snap after a while due to corrosion and you then have odd things happen like your experiencing
