S211 OM648 Tuning

I am very new to my S211 E320 CDI with OM648, it got the rare but unfortunate option of DPF.
Is there any recommendation for gutting the DPF / DPF delete and remap? I am looking for fuel economy rather than pure power figure.

1. It may make your vehicle illegal to use (in the UK for example).
2. You're at the mercy of someone else's maps and how well they do it and there have been plenty of people who have had issues
3. The DPF is rarely the cause of issues. It's usually the victim of an upstream problem which you'll still need to fix anyway.
4. It's a modification that may well invalid your insurance (see 1 above).
5. If you sell it you may be liable to refit it if it's found to be gutted (see 1 above making a car with no DPF not fit for purpose).
