S211 Xenon Headlight fault

My 2003 left hand Xenon has failed. It's not the tube and it's not the ignitor. So something far more serious has happened, but what? Any tips as to where to look? Thanks.

Ah, yes, I'd overlooked that there's a ballast elsewhere. If the weather is ok tomorrow I'll take a look at that.

I swapped ballasts over to prove it before buying anything and yes, it's the ballast. I just have a new issue now since taking one of the headlights out is that the left hand lamp washer pops out but doesn't spurt :confused:
