S320 (2000) heated drivers seat

I would like to fold up the drivers seat covering from the front, to see if I can repair the heated seat (there was a hot spot at the back of my left knee and then it stopped working). I have undone the 2 screws holding the plastic compartment, but it doesn't come away? I don't want to take the seat out.
The power is ok and I have checked the fuses, the switch lights come on, on the door.

I think that the seat needs to come right out to do this job
