Help,
Can I leave my battery connected in the car whilst trickle charging it with a smart charger, one MB service department says yes the other says no . A mistake could be very expensive.

If the smart charger drop the charge to trickle then its fine, the car consumes around 50ma so it should just keep it topped up

Excuse me saying so but the Ctec are the better ones, but maybe others have caught up in the technology used

Totally agree with Television with regard to Ctek charger which I use on E220cdi with no problems. Fly leads attached to battery permanently and pop charger on when required, Also use on both Honda scooters with leads permanently attached - I highly recommend this item
