My Km reference was a speed related joke to take him below national speed limits . I'll try harder next time to make it funny600 miles = 965 kilometres /56.5 litres = 17.08 km/litre which seems highly unlikely I think ? (48.25 MPG)
1 Km/litre = 2.825 MPG.....
Could be wrong, maybe a very efficient car?
No it was funny, honest! I wasn’t replying to you Wighty, just I replied to thread just after you (if that makes any sense!)My Km reference was a speed related joke to take him below national speed limits . I'll try harder next time to make it funny
You will need to dumb it down a bit for me buddy I'm not the sharpest tool in the box .No it was funny, honest! I wasn’t replying to you Wighty, just I replied to thread just after you (if that makes any sense!)

The 320 cdi S class can be very economical as I have now found thatI am able to travel from SETE on the med in France to Cherboug on one tank of fuel at an average speed of 70mph, gives an average mpg of just under 50, regulary see 49-50 mpg shown on Bournemouth to London run. I am very happy with this sort of consumption.
yes your right it would be illegal.....must of slipped with my finger when typing....I think you mean that you never exceeded 70mph at any point because to do so would be illegal, right? But a high average speed...?
£70 at £1.239/ litre makes 56.5 litres. 600 miles using 56.5 litres makes 10.6 miles per litre. Multiply by 3.78 = 40.1mpg. Very impressive.
