I Have A W220 1999 S320 Which Is 7 Years Old And Has 85,000 Miles On The Clock. I Bought The Car Recently And Am Very Pleased With It. However One Query That Someone Out There May Be Able To Help Me With. Whilst Driving There Is A Very Faint Background Noise - Almost Like A Very Subdued Whistling- That Appears To Come From The Power Steering Mechanism. I Say Power Steering Because If I Turn The Wheel To Absolute Full Lock I Get The Same Noise Only A Lot Louder. Is It Common? Is It Something I Should Worry About?? Any Thoughts Appreciated. I think that your steering is normal, they all make a noise on full lock. Make sure that the oil level is OK
