S320 Random Electrics

Hi Guys,
Have a weird fault with a friends 51 plate S320. It seems to do random things like the headlamps flashing, dash lights dancing , indicators flashing then sticking. It does connect to star but only when it feels like it then it says taht there os no communication and all comes up with exlamations marks.....
The original fault was a broken window regulator so the window was held up with some wood till the regulator arrived from MB. From the regulator being replaced its got this fault occur....

First, thank you for the message and info contained there in. Its nice have that type of info first hand.

I think that any one person should have a limit of say 2 horrible faults postings a year.

Does he live near you, or is his car ever parked along side yours, I will give it some more though during the day.

No problem malcolm, i was in teo minds about sending you the PM about the SL55, as i dont want you to think im stopping you from buying one. But i weighed it up and if the shoe was on the other foot i though that i would like to know before i spent 40k on a car.

About this new fault on the S320. its not really my friend is at the garage i use and is a customers my mechanic has asked for help from my fellow forum members as to suggestions as to what would cause this fault...

PS the car wasnt parked near mine so i dont think its caught the lurrgy from the SL although there has been some winds in coventry it might have been contagoues enough to be passed that way????

That would make some sense as it would not leave any codes, and we know that they can cause all of these random intermitant faults. all the best.
