Hi

Does anybody know whether there is tracking adjustment for the rear wheels of a s320 cdi 2004 model - I have a set of 19" AMG wheels on it. The tyres are wearing very significantly on the outside of the tyre rather than evenly accross the tyre. Tyre shop told me there was not an adjustment but if not I am not sure how to rectify situation.

Any thoughts would be gratefully received.

Thank you

When you say the outside - do you mean just one outside edge or both the inner and outer edges of each tyre?
The outer edge only would worry me. They may have a tendancy to wear the inner edge due to normal camber (wheel will normally angle in at the top if anything). This is amplified with wider tyres.

If you mean both the edges of each tyre however, leaving the inner 3/4 less worn, then your tyre presssures are too low. Simple as that.

Thank you

Thank you JBerks

By the outer edge I do simply mean the outside of one tyre leaving, as you suggest, the inner 3/4 of the tyre significantly more worn than the outer. I will keep an eye on tyre pressures.

Thanks for your comment.
