S320 W140 Cruise Control Problem

Hello everyone!

I have just purchased a 1995 S320, off Flea bay, LPG converted, chequred history, but clean, appears mechanicaly sound etc. (drove 600 miles from Aberdeen this weekend! no problems). But has the following niggles.

Cruise control:just doesnt work! any basic checks I can make?

Air Con: the front air con controls only blow either Very cold! with air con on, or cool outside temp air with the EC button on. I cannot get any hot ir out from ant front vents. The Temp LCD display shows HI etc. The rear air on works fine. any ideas?

The amp in the CC is the most common problem in a 140

And the duo valve in the heater circuit stuck for that fault, saying that they normally stick in the hot position

Hi There Ian, --- had a similar problem a year or so back when the heater would not blow hot on the passenger side,(something else for her to complain about ) after checking the Duo Vales -- there are 2 Duo Valves on this car -- it was found that the problem was the Cabin Sensors were faulty, replaced these and all was well. There are 3 cabin sensors in the car 1 is in the Interior light cluster by the interior Mirror, the other 2 are in the centre console to the rear of the Heater control unit, bu**ers to get at but cost less than £10-00 each.
