Hi guys

To safely jump a 2010 E class from another vehicle am I correct to assume I connect the red lead to the positive connector under the sliding cover and the black lead to the small ground/earth bolt on the inner wheel arch? Wait a few min then try start?

Cheers

Anyone remember Television's advice here?? MB SAM's do not like power/voltage spikes, so before connecting the jump leads to your car put your headlights on, attach the jump leads to the under bonnet or battery terminals, wait a couple of minutes then start the jump car and wait a few minutes for all to calm down before turning the headlights off attempting to start the dead car. Hopefully that will stop you trashing one of your car's SAM's!

Cheers guys, I attached the leads as per handbook turned ignition on then waited several minutes before started the engine. Everything seems fine drove several miles to garage, no issues. Hopfully it's fine. I'm aware these jumping these cars is iffy but had no other option.
