SAT NAV confusion?

I have a C230K sports coupe with Comand. Is Comand unit a satalite navigation system or just a navigation system. I brough a CD - but car never shows any satalites - reading is 0 0 - any one got any advice/knowledge about this problem?

Hi Steve

Suggest you get aerial checked/codes read - mine failed last year and was showing no Sat Signals with vehicle positioned in North Sea on screen!!!!

Replacement aerial and all was well

what sort of cost was it ? was it through MB , is this a DIY job?

Hi Steve

I do not know cost as luck would have it within warranty period - it took just under two hours to fit new piece and knowing MB, cannot think replacement aerial was cheap !!!! - mine is E220 and aerial 'hooks over' rear screen rather then drilled into roof.

Best of luck with replacing if indeed this is your problem - if no Sat signal and car positioned all over the shop on screen then I suspect this would be the problem

Replace the antenna. 95% of the time its this that causes the problem.
