Sat nav disk ?

Hi.. i have a clk 320 Elegance convertible on a 52 plate, it has one of them standard sterio's with the built in GPS, But i did not recieve a disk for it, any idears where i can purchase one from? also it says "TV" on the sterio unit, is there some sort of ariel adaptor i have to buy for it?

Do you mean COMAND ? you should be able to get the cd from www.comandonline.co.uk they are also reckoned to be one of the best in the uk at updating toe comand system. btw, same car as me

As it has a TV button it will be the Comand type DX and disc available from Tele Atlas or comand on line .

If it say No TV when you press the button the no tuner is fitted

Cheers mate ill have a look online, when i press the Tv button it comes up with no tv, where can i get a tuner from? and do you no if u can connect a dvd player to this device?

chat to the guys at comandonline.co.uk but its not going to be cheap, u may want to rethink having tv or video connected

You can trick the Comand 2 with an interface circa £100 to enable the DVD,, but you never get it activated for use in the front when the car is moving.

Make sure that it has Tail back or what ever its called

I was told that for me to have digital tv added to my comand I was looking at around £2k, it just isnt worth it imho

£2k....that is a rip off!...definatly not worth it!

No it will not,,it just enables you to put a standard video input into the Comand,, so you would still need a DVD player, there could be 3.5mm jack in the glove box for an ipod for use in AUX

It is only the wide screen comands mid 94 that can play DVD,s as the mapping is DVD based. the Comand 2 is CD based

I did mine for £25 but I did have an analogue tuner fitted

I havent even checked the glovebox ..im going to have a good look tomorow, The standard sterio's look really nice, got the built in sat nav etc, i had the windows done recently, (privacy glass) and when they took the door cards out, it had a really nice set of upgraded componet speakers, i dont really want to change the sterio, could i amp them up using the orriginal sterio?.. as at the moment its not very loud!

The original speakers are a very low impedance around 1 ohm.
No after market speaker has an impedance so low and the chances are it will be 4 ohms. this effectively cuts the power output down by 75%.

The answer will be to insert an amp from the Comands output

Makes sense now!..Any recomendations what kind of amp i should go for?.. all im after is nice clear sounds!..the orriginal head unit, is this easy enough to take out?
