I have a new Vito on order and have a question about ICE and sat nav. I have ordered a small upgrade from the standard radio to the sound 20 system. I suppose cost restricted me from going to the more desirable sound 50 and Command system which would have been nigh on another £2k on the price in the case of the latter.

My question relates to what after market products are available that would fit in the slot at a later date when the wallet permits. I would like something that could do sat nav, DVDs and play MP3s all in a sigle package and would fit in the slot, but I realise this may be asking to much. I've seen some really super looking units in Halfords but I know very little about them; I'm afraid I'm not much beyond the old cassette technology with in car systems.

Any helpful links or explanations would be appreciated. Are some of these fancy looking units cheap and cheerful? Im not looking for anything particularly powerful but just somthing that has plenty of functionality.

The new vehicle also has column controls

cheers Rich

If you want to use the steering wheel controls with whatever you install then you will need to go for COMAND.

Comand can be retro fitted for a lot less than the dealer charges when new ;)
