Select and press SYS in any menu (rotary push button)
Select and press SETTINGS
Select and press LANGUAGE (current language in red)
Select and press either English Metric or English imperial.
Being that I can't read German, and I am not in the car at the moment, I will try and talk you through the positions on the screen as best I can. Obviously settings, language and English will be in German
1, Press SYS (top left from the rotary push button)
2, Bottom right of the screen, select and press SETTINGS
3, Top of the list, select and press LANGUAGE
4, DEUTSCH will be in red, English Met will be the next one down and English Imp, the next. Once selected and pressed it will take a few seconds then it should show a message ( audio as well if I remember rightly) informing you that it is set to English.
Just press RET (top right of the rotary push button) to come out of each menu.
That is strange, when you first press SYS, it should show the country at the top of the screen ie United Kingdom.
If this is wrong ie Deutsch, highlight and press then change from the list.
Now retry the above.
I still don't understand why English should be blanked out, and I don't know of a disc which is available to the public which would be used to change the language.
If this doesn't work I think it is a trip to the dealers, or as I said "Learn German"
