Sat nav updates

Hi, I have been trying to update my sat nav maps, my system is audio 50 APS in a E250 CDI cabriolet AMG sport but the disc do no load and my screen just says no audio cd, no idea what's the problem , the guy supplying the discs has sent me two lots as now both not being recognised, any one any ideas as i need to update my maps as they are 2011 and out of date

That DVD looks to be for the Comand NTG4 system. Do you definitely have Comand fitted to your car?

Hi, I just have the audio 50 APS and not command, the seller assured me that the discs he supplied are for mine and not command but they just aren't recognised by my system.
Attached is photo of my original discs and photo of new disks that don't work

Try Giving the guys at Comand Online in Lightwater in Surrey a call. If you give them your VIN and tell them what discs you have, I'm sure they'll tell you if they are compatible and how to instal them - or sell you the correct disc.

From the OP's post on t'other side he's got NTG4 DVD's instead of Audio 50 APS dvd's.

Give CommandOnline a call with your full 17 digit # at hand.
01276 451579 Ask to speak to Mark or Richard.
They can tell you exactly what is fitted to your car and the discs needed to update your system to the latest map.
Return the discs you have for a refund. They are probably copies and not genuine anyway.

Many thanks I will give them a ring in morning and get it sorted, yes they where copies I believe so will get Command online to get me genuine disc's

Good idea Stu. A counterfeit disc could possibly brick your whole unit.

If your system does not require a PIN specific to your vehicle VIN (as for NTG4.5 and onwards, Richard/Mark will tell you) then once you know the correct spec of the DVD's you need look online Ebay etc for "GENUINE MB second user" DVD's, but be aware that MB have stopped issuing updates for "older" systems like the NTG2.5 in my 2008 SLK and NTG4 in my 2008 S204, where for both MB have not issued updates since 2018-19! If your car suffers the same and is a long term keeper, talk to Mark/Richard about replacing your APS50 system with a modern system like Pioneer (they will not do cheap Chinese systems), they know more about MB ICE/satnav etc than any MB main dealer!
