I would love to see the testing of all the things like this advertised evan like the broquiet fuel catalyst...
Heres a little secret...

they dont work as if they did wouldnt the car manufacturs be fitting them on a new car or even as aftermarket things...if anyone gets a improvment in fuel prove it...there was a lot about this on the truck and driver forum and 2 trucks were tested back to back and they showed nothing after a short time.

Hi All

It wasn't all that long ago that we were reading about fuel saving magnets that wrapped around the fuel lines. Whatever happened to them?

Just checked it out I reckon it is a piece of crap jewelry that not even the head bangers would buy, so he thinks "I know lets call it the Tornado and sell it as I fuel saving device, there are plenty of numpty's who will fall for that one"

It's not nice to call me a numpty, just because I bought one of those things. I reckon I'll save a gallon a day.

And, I only paid £128 to get it fitted!

installation can usually be completed in 5 minutes using only a screwdriver

And, I only paid £128 to get it fitted!

The idea I believe is to improve the atomization of the fuel by creating this vortex - but this is only really beneficial on systems where the fuel injectors are further back up the intake manifold.
Where the injectors are very close to the valves (as on our mercs), laminar air flow is preferable. All I can see this doing is causing an unnecessary restriction to your air intake (worse at higher rpm when intake manifold air speed is greater).
People spend a great deal of time polishing, gas flowing, porting etc. the pipework the air travels down to remove even slight restrictions to the airs natural passage - this device has just added a big one.
Does anyone remember those Ecotek valves that injected 'agitated' air into the air intake to cause the same effect? They made this weird duck noise and all that happened was you drove around with your car sounding like a frightened mallard.
