Hi All,
I own a petrol engine 1984 Mercedes Benz 190E 2.3 and just recently my fuel consumption has been so high and very scary. This is accompanied by heavy and very unusual black smoke when ever i am driving and have to step on the accelerator.
The car equally jerks when I am driving on low speed gears like gears 1,2,3 and sometimes even threatens to shutdown when changing gears especially between the low gears.
Driving is no more fun for me, it is simply a nightmare.
Can some one out there tell me what the problem is?
