Good evening everyone

could anyone talk me through the procedure of deactivating the SBC system with an icarsoft CR pro? I want to make sure I am doing it right.

Thank you in advance

If you want to use icarsoft, on the CR Max you can find the SBC activate/deactivate under EPB (no idea why). Guess it'll be similar for the Pro.

Okay, thank you. I have found that bit, so do I just click on deactivate and it does it all? On a side note, what do you think of the CRmax?

Yes, just select deactivate. You'll get a message on the dash showing SBC is no longer operational, I forget the exact wording. Key off and you can work on system. When you've finished your repairs, key on and select activate.

I've not tried the other icarsofts, but I was expecting more of the CR Max. I thought the big screen would be great for viewing live data, it's not. If you plot a graph the axes are fixed, so the x will always just show you couple of seconds of data. If you take a 5 min log you just have to page through, seconds at a time. Y axes are fixed too. The sample rate is awful too, so the detail gets aliased.

I guess the ability to do the updates over wifi is useful, but as I've never found any new functionality I need after an update, not sure it's worth it.

I was too, my OM648 only has 4 fuel injectors according to my CR Max amongst other niggles.

@Ollie2805 I have used SBC deactivation and the dashboard has a warning overload on my S211, so be prepared for the noise! Unplugging would be my preference when performing general maintenance such as discs and pads. I managed to replace a burst rear hard line and bled the caliper by opening the door with the SBC connected.
