I purchased my car a 2004 E 270 Avantgarde from an independant dealer 6 months ago, I have covered 7000 trouble free miles and the cars mileage is now at 63K.
The SBC hold has only worked for a short time just after a service, although it was nice to have it was not the end of the world when it stopped working.(car holding on steep hill no roll back)
Need some advice if I do not fix this will I have bigger problems a head.

Someone put up the reason for the no hold a few says ago, is there any message in the cluster.

Re rolling back on hills, with the selector set to W on the selector, the car cannot roll back, it will only roll back in S

Its normally the selector lever at fault,i see no reason why you cant just leave it not working.
