How old is your car? Has it had all the mods & software updates? How much have you complained about it? Complain MORE!! You should get a result. You should not have to pay any costs refuring to the SBC pump itself.

The last update makes mine run longer than ever, there is the damper that they fit to your car,but do not fit it to my SL

There was a kit apparently that quietens it down a bit but my dealer looked at me blankly when I mentioned it. As mine is a diesel the SBC isn't so much of a problem (lots of other noisy bits) but I imagine I'd be irritated if I had a quiet petrol.

The mod that Jberks talks of is a damper that reduces the noise

Hi All
Long time no speak

Just got a replacement to my 210 - Love it except for the SBC noise - what is an 'acceptable' noise level? - How can I tell if a dampener has been fitted?

Cheers
