SBC Reset and Brakes message

My 2003 R230 SL55 recently came up with brakes defective visit workshop message.

About a week later, the SRS light came on also...

The discs and pads have planty of meat on them, so I was thinking it might be the SBC counter reset that might be required.

I took it to an indi who said the code being given out was C235A, check component A7/3 check hydraulic unit, which won't reset with his machine and same goes re the SRS light as its apparently related.

Ive found a guy on ebay in leicester claiming he can sort it and suggests it is still related to the SBC counter reset, but anybody else come across this before??

Was the SBC warning red or white?

Looking at those codes I doubt it's the counter as none of the codes are right (should be C249F for the counter).
I think that's the pump on its last legs as you have codes for low pressure and the counter doesn't affect pressure.

You won’t be able to reset the counter with the Snap On machine in your picture anyway. You need a Star machine with developer mode

Il check that tomoz.. Is it worth disconnecting and cleaning up anyway to see if it sorts it?

Il tell the indi... He did say his star had gone to get updated software but he had used that other smaller thing with 4 red knobs on to reset the SBC and it had worked.. But it was with a different code to mine

It always goes red and beeps during diags.
I still think it's a failing pump though cleaning the earth is a good shout.

Star machines get updated overnight automatically. Must be a copy. As said many times, a counter reset can only be done on some pumps safely, resetting the counter with worn brushes could lead to brake failure.

sounds iffy. its licenced so would update online or via mb disks..... who sends a computer away to get updated....

Disc updates ended years ago. Our updates happen over night and any car related software is downloaded and stored on a retail storage system, so our star systems take the data from this when needed.
