Hi All

I have the seemingly infamous Scorpion alarm on my 94 e320. When I brought the car it only had the two remotes and the manual override key thingy, no instructions or additonal bits. Unfortunately I have lost one of the remotes so thought I could use the other one. Despite a new battery in the remote, It doesn't appear to work (LED doesn't loght, car doesn't react when either button is pressed, even if it is held down for 15 seconds. Does any one know if it is possible to get a replacement (or use one from another scorpion alarm)? Also, does anyone have an instructions?

Thanks

Jonathan

Thanks Ian, I thought scorpion were no more so didn't try searching - doh!

Thanks everyone for your help.

Update

Having spoken to scorpion it seems they don't make this remote any more. If I can find a second hand remtoe they can program it for me but I need to send off the alarm ECU - this will disable the car but the guy I spoke to will instruct me how to get the car going!

Anyone have a two button scorpion remote they don't want anymore??

Cheers

Try this with the remote:

Press both buttons together until the light goes out; then press the big button 3 times.

This should set the remote to your receiver.

Thanks Clive, however the light doesn't even come on so I am assuming it has had it. If I can get a second hand remote this is worth trying though, I'll let you know if it works.

Thanks

If you cant get one, you can get a keyfob remote and a 12volt switch box for around £50, do find the earlier thread by TOM7035 not very far back all the info is there

Jonathan,

You can of course contact Skorpion who will sell you a new one for around £40.00 and then program it in the same way as I indicated.

As an aside, the reason I know about Skorpion alarms is that we had one fitted in our old Audi. I had to get a new remote when the other half decided that the safest place to put the car keys including the remote was in the oven whilst she was out. Came home, switched the oven on to heat up...........!!!!!!!! Do you know that new key ends can be made using araldite in a plasticine mould? They're better than the real thing.
