My R129 sl500 was in storage for about 4 years. I'm catching up with lots of items affected by this, but the passenger window is positively screeching when dropped or risen. The Glass shows signs of previous scratching, but I've had the door card off and scrupulously cleaned the rubber seal(s), lubricated the runners with rubber lube and greased the regulator/gears etc. The noise almost went away for a while but is now back with a vengence, accompanied by the window sticking/seizing. The only bit I couldn't lube was the motor spindles for obvious reasons, has anyone had similar??? Thanks all.

I had the same problems with my 129.
Where the glass is scratched take a thin kitchen knife and run this along the glass and the seal as grit can get stuck in the seal.
It possible that the grease that you have used is to heavy or thick in the window runners, making the glass stick PTFE is light weight and you could spray the runners with this.
