Hi all does everyone suffer from there front tyres scrubbing on the inside.?
Is this a standard problem with an E class w212 2012 saloon.
Ave had it in a mercedes specialist had it all checked he couldn't find a single thing wrong had both track rods replaced and tracking set tyres still scrubbing badly on the inside has anyone had the same problem and resolved it thanks.

I have had two S212 (estates) and neither suffered from this issue.

Do you go hard in and hard out of bends? Braking or acceleration with the wheels turned wears the inside, as does straddling speed humps.

Suggest you go to a proper wheel align specialist. Being "within tolerance" is not good enough. You either have excessive camber or insufficient toe-in or both!!

What @oigle said. MB used to fit adjustable camber bolts but stopped on later cars, you can still get them though. You just need to find someone to fit them and adjust the suspension accordingly. The MB recommended setup is not necessarily the correct setup, a good specialist will know how to adjust the alignment to stop the inside edges wearing. It used to be Wheels in Motion were the go to people but sadly no longer as they have closed.

The bolts come from MB. You could look at contacting any company that sets up or builds cars for track racing as either they can or would know someone who can do this for you. A bit of googling and phoning should get you there. You could phone some of the race circuits and ask them. My experience with my C219 was that standard tyre shops will only set the alignment according to the MB specs in their machine which is useless and they didn't understand how to properly align 4 wheels according to the car - things settle after 10+ years so the original specs are not necessarily valid. I had mine set up by WIM about 6 years ago and ever since then I have insisted that anyone setting my alignment uses the WIM figures and have not had a problem since with inner edge scrubbing - before it would wreck the front tyres in under 5000 miles.

You can't as they are no longer in business. Anyone who understands alignment geometry can do this which is why I suggested finding an outfit that does competition/racing/track cars. Very few regular tyre shops know how to do this, they just follow what the machine tells them to do.
