the seat switches on my sl300 were both playing up every switch would work at different times .i took them apart and sprayed them with contact cleaner the more i messed with the worse they seemed to get by removing them from the door card and pushing on the plugs from the rear they would invariably work or putting pressure on the switch itself helped i took the black cover off the face of the switch bank with a terminal driver and exposed the pcb i tested the soldered connections from the pins that accept the multi plugs from the rear and found 4 bad connections on one pcb and 3 on the other a simple spot of solder on the offending joints did the trick .one point for anyone trying this is not to turn the swtch bank over when the black lid is removed or you could lose 2pins and springs sat in the switch toggles hope this is of help to someone mark

Seat Switch Repair

Have just read your repair method. I have the same problem, stripped down today before reading your post, but couldnt find my soldering iron so had to reassemble till next weekend. Note the comment on the pins, because I nearly lost one..

I did see some possible dry joints, hopefully it will soon be cured..

Remember that a good joint is bright and shiny, dont keep the iron there too long, use a fluxed cored solder
