Hi all, had my 2011 e class 3 weeks so getting used to it. I haven't touched anything but the dash said rear left seat not locked. It was ok when l first got car, no warning, but must have been like that when l got the car. Went in the boot and released the catch so seat would lock. The warning still comes on when l go out, and to get rid of it l press ok on wheel.

Did you physically push the rear sat back into the locked position after releasing the handle?
If not, the car may still think the seat is unlocked.

Yes, released the boot flap so it could latch properly. It's secure like the other seat.

Watching this with interest!
One of my rear seats gives a Backrest Not Locked message when I lay it down to carry stuff.

While I m here, l didn't realize car had stop/ start feature til other day. I thought it had stalled!
I haven't touched anything to adjust anything, so when l first bought it a month ago l ve sat at reasonably steep hill at lights. Brake was on fairly firmly and didn't cut out.
So yesterday it started stopping when l stopped. ****** annoying. I sussed that if l had enough brake pressure to stop car it would keep running. A little more pressure and it cut out. Is that normal?

It never used to. It's mis-reading the back swab down as someone sitting there perhaps?

Not sure how it works in those situations. I turn my Stop/Start off the instant I start driving it.

We think the micro switch on seat is faulty. The warning goes out if you open the door. Realised that today
