Seat won't flip forward

I have a 2016 E 350D Cab and for reasons beyond me, when I pull the handle to let someone in the back of the car (children obviously) the drivers seat does nothing.
I don't want to yank the handle for fear of ripping it off.

The electric seats move forward and back and I can tilt the seat forward using the electric controls but just can't tilt the seat forward.

I'm guessing this isn't a motor issue but a cable to flip the seat. Any ideas how I'd find out/fix this?

Almost certain a small cable one end prob cone off or mounting dislocated.

How would I access that? Is it a case of taking the seat back off?

Almost certainly. But that's a job I never had to do, see if you can get a schematic of seat parts before breaking something

Sometimes on the CLK if the seat is too far forward to start with it won’t tip forward .

Well, having taken the seat back off (a few star key bolts) I can see that the lift mechanism is working perfectly, so the culprit must be somewhere in the base of the seat.

Has anyone found a schematic for the 2016 E-Class Cab or Coupe seat? Before I send it to the local garage?
