I hope someone can help me with this, but my seatbelt warning light has started flashing on an adhoc basis with the belt on or off, if I click in the seatbelt tab in sometimes goes off but mostly stays on. I have noticed that if I pull on the belt against its reel it sometimes goes out until I go over a bump then it starts again. I am assuming I have a loose connection somewhere. Is there a switch or a relay that controls these lamps? If so, does anyone know where it is? In the meantime I have removed the bulbs as its annoying and distracting especiallty when driving at night! It seems to have started quickly as it was working fine the night before.

Many Thanks in advance.

the most probable place is within the seatbelt connection, the switch is in the bit that the belt plugs into.. when the light comes on try pushing the seatbelt tightly into the connection and see if that cures it..you may need to replace the floor/ seat mounted piece ..

Thanks I will try this. I seem to remember doing that while driving (it was a night journey on the motorway), even plugging it in & taking it out a few times. It almost seemed to be more from the inertia reel side and I wondered it there was a switch in there?

Cheers
