My drivers seat goes back and forth whenever it feels like it... sometimes when I put on the brakes, sometimes when I hit the brake... It seems as though the track is not locking or the teeth are gone on the track or gear. If I hit the switch fwd or reverse and I can hear the motor run but the seat does not move... I took it to the shop and the guy said it was the switch.... I have a lot of respect for this particular mechanic but I am a pretty good electrician.. I was just probing him because of his experience as a Mercedes mechanic... has anyone out there had any problems with their seats and were any of them similar to what I described... The switch is expensive and removing the seats is a PITA... either way it will be costly but I don't think the switch and the gear train are fubar....
