I couldn't advise you about the SEC bonnet- you might find some info on this though at www.mbcoupes.com
Bumpers from neither SL models (107 or 129) would fit a 126 SEC coupe - they are much narrower. You would either have to fabricate something yourself or look for aftermarket custom ones.
The lights aren't a straight swap but in reality you can make any rear light fit any car given time, determination, a sharp jigsaw and use of a mig welder.
Personally I think Mercedes got it right first time and most after market modifications tend to render the car more difficult to maintain and resell.
I agree with Mercedes getting it right first time, but there's no harm in trying to update the looks using genuine Merc parts ;-)
I want my 126 to look as new as possible, without going near any form of body kit.
I want it to look like Mercedes built it in the first place.
I'm going to have a go and fit the SL rear clusters first. Should bring it bang up to date from the rear, and I've tackled far bigger projects in the past
