Second Hand Remote Key Fobs

Hi,

When i bought my CLK there was only one remote key fob and i am afraid that i might mislay lose or damage it and get stuck.

Have seen on ebay used key fobs for sale at reasonable prices, can these be programed to suit my car ? if they can is there any special procedure to program or do MB have to do it ? or would i be just wasting my time.

It would be so much better than paying the £150 that MB wan't for a new one.

But if thats the case do i just need V5 and proof of ID to order one

Key fobs from Ebay are of no use to man nor beast other than to get a new plastic housing.

Go to MB dealer with V5 and ID and it will be yours in a few days

the only way to get one that'll work with your car is from mb, bring passport or proof of who you are (ID/drivers license) and where you live (bills),
