Not sure which your car is - C220?
In any case I imagine it's similar to my E. Under the bonnet, N/S wheel arch, Black box with red + on it - open the box and you will find a brass post inside - There is also nearby, another post - that serves as the -ve.

All,
What does it say in the manual regarding jump starting? - I don't think I ever did this on my C and the E has the posts in the front to connect to (though the battery is under the rear seat so a pain to get to). There must be a Merc approved way to do this as it's a pretty normal issue. I presume the boot lock is electric - I take it you have tried it.

You can get what is called an In car battery charger which connects to your cigar lighter to charge the battery why not get one of those to power your boot lock it?s just a lead which connects the two lighters together but don?t try and start the car its only for charging the battery.
