Anyone out there have a supplier of the the right kind of hydraulc pipe and unions etc to refurb a 300 TE. I've tried Merc and all the parts are on back order and not available in a short timescale. ECP and GSF don't list anything for it either.
Ideally in the area of the central M62 corridor would be ideal.

Hi,

I got my pipes and fittings from Solent Truck and Bus, Fareham. I realise that this isn't too much help for you, being at the other end of the country, however, a good commercial vehicle factors should have all you require. The pipes are an unusual diameter ( ie/ not brake pipe size ). Additionally you will require a special flaring tool for hydraulic pipes, a brake pipe flaring tool will not provide the correct type of end and you will suffer from leaks at the joints.
Since you've got everything on "back order" you're probably better off waiting for them to come through.

in the silent interim however, I got in touch with Inchape at Oxford via their on-line link as published on-site here. Not only did they beat the prices of my own dealer, they got everything together and it is being delivered to my mechie today, for fitting tomorrow. Excellent communications, and very helpful. Quite frankly, I haven't had service like this since I ordered from Screwfix.
Absolutely fantastic. Let's hope the pipes I ordered on a these are the most likely culprits basis actually do the job. If not, more custom for Inchape.

I'd recommend them to anyone having a back-order day at their own dealers

got the car back yesterday

with mainly new hydraulic piping. Seems to run okay, so I can start to save on that £10 a bottle hydraulic oil she was getting a taste for.
