Hi,

I need to sell my E320 CDI 2001

I've upgraded the sound system to an MP3 player head unit plus an MP3 player in the boot. Also where the extra seats were at the back I've installed 2 Amps and a Sub.

My question is would I get more money if I removed these and returned the car to it's original factory setup, which would make it a seven seater with steering audio control?

Thanks.

IMO it will probably be easier to sell as a 7 seater and nothing you add to it will increase it's value. So removing your ICE is probably the best thing if you wish to sell.

Merc buyers, especially those looking for something as staid as a 320cdi estate, tend to be the on the conservative side and will look for unsullied factory spec. If I saw the ICE and mods, no matter how well undertaken as I'm sure it is, I'd think "Pimped and abused" and walk away.
Plus 7 seaters are sought after and will certainly fetch more than a 5 seater with a trick stereo.
I'd put it back to standard and keep your ice for the next motor.
