The SBC used on the E class,CLS,CL,SL and SLR have been criticized in the europian press for bringing out this new system before the bugs were ironed out. There have been many incidents where the system has not worked the way it was intended, though Mercedes has offered free checking and an expensive re call. E class and CLS have abandened SBC,other models will keep it. It has been called a big prestige loss, to promote an unproved system.
BMW gott stick for their "One knob control" that needs turning 22 times to program 1 radio station. Audi and VW were criticized for their FSI injection system that does not do anything.
