Service A in 30 days

Hi guys,

What is a Service A and how much does it cost?

Does anyone know any local garages in the North London area where I can get my C180 Elegance (51) serviced?

you should have a spanner showing, or 2 spanners showing in the display too.

An A service used to be a smaller of the 2 types of service and was signified by a single spanner, whereas a B service was a major service and was shown with 2 spanners...altho on mine it shows one spanner and B service, altho not due for a further 7800miles.

your handbook or service book should have more information in.

dunno how much or where you can go in London....maybes someone else will.

I think you'll find most of the London area garages are owned by DC and charge the same for an A service. As far as I can recall it's over £300 which is a joke for an oil and filter change. When I had a B service a few months ago I had to go to Beaconsfield (Hughes) to get a slightly more reasonable price.

I've been quoted £100 for a A Service and that includes collection and delivery of the car!

Goldie,
check the oil level. If its low, you could try topping it up - this should give you another few thousand miles before the service (I've done 14k since the last B and still have almost 3k to go before the next A!)
£300 is silly (London prices I guess). Here in Whippet land its around 200-250.
Still daft for an oil change though!
