Service Break light visit workshop ,strange comes on then next time start car no malfunctions happened a few times over last few days .Not to concerned as brakes feel fine and pump is working fine I'm sure ,primes itself when unlock car and sbc hold works fine .90k miles 2003 320 cdi.
Going to take it over Livingston merc indie hes going to plug it in .Just your thoughts on it ?

Is it the brake pad warning? if so you've (depending upon usage) 300-500 miles to get the pads changed

No mate no warning light and plenty left on pads ,do you think sbc needs reset?

Reseting it doesn’t fix it. Just saying. Read fault and then take appropriate action to fix, especially where brakes are concerned.

Will do mate ,going to a good garage on friday and if sbc pump needs renewed will just have to get it done ,great cars these mercs want to keep it on the road

Break light switch ,£10 so happy with that.
Found a really good Mercedes indie he has diagnostics to reset sbc if it reaches its limit so no worries.

That’s good news but only reset if star says it’s ok. As said, resets won’t fix worn out parts, it just hides them.

Will do that yeah , only reset if indie thinks appropriate,but hey could run for years yet before reset or complete change of pump.Not really concerned about problems with car now at least I've sourced a good Mercedes indie shop there like gold dust
