Service History

Hello all, Just joined after buying a C220 Diesel 95 N. My question is how can I find out whether the car I have bought has had any service history? I have telephoned several MB dealers and no records are showing anywhere....

Please help... :?

have you tried the dealer who sold the car originally? the name may appear in the rear window on a sticker, or on the numberplate ...

Thing is, I bought the car in an auction. I am still waiting for the log book to arrive and my next course of action is to write to the previous owner to see whether she had the car serviced at all.

The car was entered into the auction by MB Direct, so I tried all the dealers in the surrounding area where I belive the MOT was done, but all the dealers so far have not seen it. I would have thought the being Mercedes, they would be a little more connected and have such details to at least what part of the country the car originally came from.

If anyone can shed any light on this it would be a great help, my main reasoning is because I need to determine the actual mileage. Currently it states 116K but I have my doubts based on the year etc.

If MB direct have 'rejected' it then there may be a reason...

Actually, it's not until recently that service records have become computerised so try to find out more from the orginal owner.
