My wifes A 160 is 6 months old with 4500 miles done in25 mile combined motorway / town driving at speeds averaging 50 mph.
About a month ago the service indicator said a service was due in 6800 miles.
Yesterday it changed to read a service due in "7" with a graphic of a clock showing.
Is this 7 days, weeks, months? Why should the car give me these widely different messages after such a short time.
My dealer said in normal driving a service should not be needed for at least 10000 miles. PLEASE HELP.
Also, can you tell me if my warranty is invalid if I don't service my car at the authorised dealer?
I have been told that the warranty is not affected if Merc parts are used.
Can you clarify?
