There is companys out there that will clock the car for you .
Look under mileage correction. How many miles are you wanting to take off. Are you selling the car ? As long as you have had the car for a few years there is little chance of being caught out.
I think Robert was asfter how to reset the Assyst service indicator.
You should have that in your user manual, but it involves pressing the odometer reset button while turning the key from position 0 to 1 or 2. Anyway, I can't remember exactly without looking at my manual, but it's something like that. No doubt other members will be able to tell you the exact sequence.
Very similar to the procedure in the good lady's VW Polo diesel - very irritating when you only do about 3,000 miles a year and it knows the date of the next service - at a cost of £200+ for a full service when all you need is a filter and oil change.

You were right it was the Assyst service indicator I was talking about not clockin the motor as 500si indicated.
