Service query

Hi there,
My mercedes c220 CDI(2003) is due for 'B'service now.Main dealer servicing is quite expensive.There are garages around like kwik fit who does the servicing for less than half price compared to main dealers.They even stamp service books.Would you recommend this?

I live in Ilford and is there a quality garage aroud?.Iam desperate to find one.I'd go to a main dealer if you think its really worth it.Please gimme some advice.

What you have to consider is not just the price and quality of the work, but also the value of the Mobilo 30year warranty.

If the car is serviced outside of the dealer network you will loose this which is not only a rust warranty, but essentially a free breakdown service. I suggest you do a search on this forum to see just what it entails before you make your decision.

I know a great indie called PC Merc. They are located just of Leabridge road in Leyton. I have my car looked after there. If you want further info i would be happy to supply. They have just done a B service on my C320 W203 and charged me £297.

I would think about it though as you will loose your Mobil Life cover, which can be reinstated if you have a service at MB at a later date.

Personally, I wouldn't let KwikFit oil my wheelbarrow wheel.

Have the minor sevices done at Main Dealer to reinstate mobilo cover. But all larger services and other issues have done at an Indie.
