Can anyone recommend a good company in the uk for service parts?last few times I have used euro car parts but waited a month for delivery so would rather go elsewhere.thanks

Newcastle MB have an eBay page which makes life easy . Grangemouth gives a forum discount (£5 delivery ish )
A lot of stuff is available by eBay from numerous sources

Interesting to know about Mercedes Grangemouth being forum friendly, because they are only around 30 miles away and my second closest Mercedes dealer.
Being part of the Arnold Clark group I automatically dismissed them when looking for my new car, but parts is a whole different ball game.

Depends what you want OP. If you want cheap then go for ECP or GSF. Usually wide range of parts/price for a given item.
But buy once and buy right then go for genuine but this also depends on the part in question.
For me genuine all the way. Find the part number, look on eBay. dealers are not super expensive and ask for discount.

If generic parts then ecp, gsf, or their sister online co (can’t remember the name at the mo) there is also likes of Mick’s garage to try or someone like opieoils.

for mb then yep I’d say Newcastle (handy as near me) or Grangemouth

I bought a 3 year old SLC250d from Arnold Clark Oldbury in March, first class service.
Only went there as they had to spec I was looking for.

Yes you are correct, a friend of mine worked at the Stafford showroom for a short time & hated it.
But they had the car I was looking for one owner full MBSH, & a good part ex price. Had the car for 4 months no problems at all.
