Hi all
I just replaced the plugs, points and condenser on my 350. Set points to 0.3mm, plugs to 0.6 and attached condenser to dist. Marked 30deg btdc on pulley, connected timing light to no. 1 lead, loosened allen bolt holding distributer, started it and reved to 3000 rpm and rotated dist. until 30deg mark met the pointer. Turned her off, tightened allen key and restarted her. Ran fine then all of a sudden she stopped. Done continuity check on all cables and seem fine. 12v at + side of coil but only 0.28v at - side which supplys the points and condenser. Spent about 2hrs and cant get it started. Is this voltage reading normal, I suspect not, as there is no spark at points. Coil heats up very fast as well.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. Totally fed up at this stage.
Regards
Mike
