It's not really personal preference otherwise I wouldn't be sat where I am right now...
I am cancelling until this has all gone away. Does seem a selfish thing to do when not essential. I wish my neighbours had this approach with their 6 builder doing their extension.

Very odd isn't it. Some people just seem to be carrying on like nothing has changed. The neighbours are both in the late 60's and you would think that the should be more cautious. It's not essential work.Likewise with my next door neighbour .... it's not an extension but they seem to have all & sundry coming & going

I agree, but the owners could have delayed work. I know it's difficult, but this work is not essential. My brother in law is a plumber, they are only working on sites for existing customers and builder, but self isolating during the time. The chaps across the road are all in close proximity, and even the owner stands with them talking. I work in IT and quite a few of my colleagues are now on the 80% furlong, it's crap for a lot of people now. Hope it passes soon.
