The booking that I had made previously is still happening. The garage is still open for this servicing and repairs. I am currently like a lot of people isolating, I also work from home. with this in mind what is the consensus on servicing, should I wait until the lock down is done with? Or just be careful and wash hands as normal, wear gloves?

I'd wait, no point in increasing risk

Hello
Surly it’s personal preference
I would wait as it’s not needed.
Mine was in the garage last week and also today but this is for a repair and not a service

You're both right, I will wait and cancel the service.

Sorry blobcat
I mean the risk is personal preference
Like I said I wouldn’t as it’s not needed

I am cancelling until this has all gone away. Does seem a selfish thing to do when not essential. I wish my neighbours had this approach with their 6 builder doing their extension.

Understood.

My SLK is ~400 miles from requiring a service and an ATF change, it will be waiting until this is over and with luck I'll also have a job...
I'm also still running around on my winter wheels as I have a nail in one of the summers :(

Likewise with my next door neighbour .... it's not an extension but they seem to have all & sundry coming & going :coffee:

Very odd isn't it. Some people just seem to be carrying on like nothing has changed. The neighbours are both in the late 60's and you would think that the should be more cautious. It's not essential work.

Trouble is you can’t build a extension from home
I work in construction and I’m at home on 80% wages
Only reason I’m at home is all the construction sites we work on have closed if they were still open I would be working
I glad that I’m at home and self isolating but if the big construction companies decide to open their sites I have no choice

A lot of people appear to be in the Egyptian river...
It's taken my parents awhile to realise the world isn't quite the same right now... they're getting it now but it's been a bit of a challenge getting them there

I agree, but the owners could have delayed work. I know it's difficult, but this work is not essential. My brother in law is a plumber, they are only working on sites for existing customers and builder, but self isolating during the time. The chaps across the road are all in close proximity, and even the owner stands with them talking. I work in IT and quite a few of my colleagues are now on the 80% furlong, it's crap for a lot of people now. Hope it passes soon.
