Servicing - Ayr

My W210 will need an "A" service soon - I need to get it done before the end of June because I've a trip to France & possibly Poland coming up. It's not beyond possibility that it might turn into a "B" at the last minute, it's 12 months since the last service (apart from the MoT).

The car is now at just under 130,000 miles, rusty and consequently worth the square root of sod all these days.

Two questions, effectively:
1. Is it worth using a "proper" place - i.e. with full diagnostic equipment
2. Iif it's "yes" to question 1, I have heard mixed things about MB in Ayr... (as distinct from Glen Henderson - I wouldn't trust them to service my lawnmower)

Thoughts very much appreciated!

PS I just don't have time to run all over western Scotland ... I'm only at home Friday to Sunday

MB Ayr is supposedly okay. However there is a very good indi in Greenock ran by the Mizonni brothers. Try googling MB specialists in Glasgow. Mainly mercs in clydebank has been recommended and a colleuges son in law runs it and knows his stuff.
